How to wear denim?

It is the evergreen wardrobe staple. An absolute essential for every age-group. And a must-have for every style preference. Yes, it is denim that we are talking about. A highly versatile fabric that has appeared and reappeared in endless avatars. So, when the question is how to wear it, we say, let it speak for itself.

·         Jackets
Denim jackets are a life-saver in every season and situation. Air-conditioning too chilly? Slip into its warmth. Sun tanning you too bad? Slip under its protection. And unwaxed arms? Well, you have the trendiest alternative to a shrug.

Wear these jackets with sundresses, flaunt them over crop tops or use them  as a statement piece to pep up a boring outfit.

·         Jeans
Boyfriend-style, skinny, pencil-fit or bell-bots, the unlimited variety of denim pants brings an unlimited range of style options. Wear them with full-sleeved tees or tucked-in button-downs, you can never go wrong with this piece of clothing.

·         Jeggings
A quirky twist to the conventional jeans, these are denim leggings that you absolutely have to have in your closet. Not only will they trim down your legs but also offer a smarter bottomwear choice. Loose t-shirts as well as fitted tops can find their perfect match in a pair of jeggings.

·         Dungarees
They have long made a come-back. So, this might as well be your last chance to try them on before they are outdated again. Pair them with stripes, deep cuts and sleeveless silhouettes.

·         Shirts
These are also pretty handful. Use them as a lighter alternative to the jackets or tuck them into more denim. Yes, the denim on denim look is very much in. Throw in some scarves and the right ladies’ bag. And also look for unusual prints or combined fabrics that can add to the chic appeal of these shirts.

You could also wear denim in the form of shredded shorts or pocketed skirts. Just remember to strike a balance between texture and colour. And make sure that you do not overdo the denim on denim style. The right footwear and accessories also matter. So, if you think you just want to use denim for the right statement, you could very well settle down for a denim bag or denim shoes instead of choosing a piece of clothing.

Happy styling!
