Spring/Summer ’16 make-up trends

Spring/Summer 2016 is screaming for all or nothing. Anyone who has noticed the runway this season will have noticed this. With all those glittery lips and barely worked-upon hairdos, it becomes a pretty obvious contrast. And in case you missed the highlights, here is our quick-list of the make-up trends that will rule the heated months.

Bold pouts will get bolder still
Last time it was Oxblood, now that has gone a notch brighter. Candy reds are the ultimate favourite for this season. It’s time to add some pop fun and experiment even if the temperatures suggest otherwise. Heat for heat! Speaking of bold lippy, metallics are another trend that you can’t afford to miss. And it’s right down to the nail paint!

Shades of silver, gold and copper can be complemented with shiny versions of unconventional lip colours.

Eye trends: A dare!
Getting all fashionable with clumpy mascara might not sound like your thing. But the experts have a difference of opinion. With dramatic spidery lashes to graphical fakes, eye makeup is all set to take a new turn. And we bet you haven’t even thought of comic-book inspirations for daily wear.

Right from artistically styled liners to detailed shadows, make-up trends seem to be transforming in a blink.

And did we mention glitter?
The tug-of-war between minimalism and extravagance will continue because of all the new glitter products that are there to be explored. Glittered nail art could just be the tip of the iceberg. We are talking major styles for the face, lips, eyes and even skin.

Blues
Blue is unmistakably the make-up color of the season. Apart from glitter and metal, even subtle shades of blue will help you stand out like a pro.

Just stick to these four keys that we picked and you would have pretty much covered most of the trendy stuff. We suggest investing in at least one product per trend. If you already have new mascara, get a pair of fake eyelashes. If you just bought blue eyeliner, get some metallic blue nail paint. And if you think you would love to try the bold way, red lipstick will never cease to be a classic. Stay cool. Stay beautiful with your updated sense of summer make-up.
