Rebirth

I take up this task
No matter how hard it may be
To bury the dreams
That I know were illusory.

May be I imagined too much
Things that were never there
So, now I accept what can't be changed
To go back, I wouldn't dare.

Here, I bury the ashes
It's goodbye to the self that burned.
But just like a phoenix,
Afresh, I'd return!

The rebirth, the remaking,
Would strip me off the pain.
I have to forget the illusions.
So that I can live again...
